The unit is very ease to assemble. The system is odorless and can be used in door; the special lid design allows it used outdoor, too. This lid is designed to ventilate air and moisture so that the compost environment is comfortable for worms. The special corner design reinforces the strength of the products and also allows better air circulation. The lid universally fits into the existing trays in the worm composter market. Out of all kinds of worm composters in the market, the VermiHut is the most efficient, producing the most compost at the least foot-print.
The built-in liquid tray collects liquid from organic waste decompose, and the liquid is rich in nutrient and can be used as fertilizer. The spigot design makes it easy to collect the liquid.
In full operation, a 5 tray VermiHut system can house approximately 10,000 to 12,000 worms (5kg or 10lb), and can consume 2.5kg or 5lb of food scrap a day.
