The Dendrobaena Veneta worm (commonly known as Dendras) is a versatile worm which has many uses such as:
§ Live bait for fishing
§ Bird and wildlife food
§ Vermicomposting
§ Worm Bins
Primarily a fishing worm, Dendrobaena veneta (a.k.a. Dendrobaena hortensis) is a robust, epigeic (surface dweller) earthworm species that can tolerate much wider moisture ranges than many other species and has a preference for mild temperatures. Although it is not as prolific and does not grow as rapidly as the Eisenia Fetida redworm, it is a much larger earthworm and is used by a number of vermiculturalists for composting purposes.
There are approximately 700 Dendras per pound.
